30 Rockefeller Plaza. July 2014.

We met in the lobby of 30 Rockefeller Plaza on our first day of the NBC Page Program. Jack was the first one to get there… and Audrey was the second. We had to small talk while waiting nervously for our first ever day of work to start. What did we talk about? No idea! Probably Jack’s love of beekeeping…

And when we weren’t memorizing the studio tour script or studying for our fire warden exams we found ourselves chatting in the corners of the Page Office about the fact that we were both (very weirdly) born in the same town of Media, PA. Audrey realized she liked Jack when she would watch his (very bad) card tricks over and over just to be near him. Less than two months in, we started officially dating!

7 years later…

We now live in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn with our cat Eleanor Roosevelt, who Audrey adopted in college, but loves Jack more.

We spend each weekend walking together roaming the neighborhood. You may find us reading or drinking wine in Cobble Hill Park or Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Proposal

We went to Japan in the Spring of 2019. Little did Audrey know that Jack had packed a surprise. TSA knew, when they watched the ring ride through the x-ray machine in the pocket of Jack’s coat. And Jack certainly knew as he patted his jacket pocket for the millionth time while walking through the streets of Tokyo. But amazingly, Audrey had no idea this would happen - to the point she told her coworkers “no way” when they asked if it would happen on this trip.

So after a day of exploring, all the while Jack wondering if each new location was the perfect spot to propose, Jack decided to start their second day by popping the question in their hotel.
